November,Charity Auction Event
We had an exhibition of the paintings from the students of Xining Deaf and Mute school and Qinghai special school at the French Institute.
This exhibit had concluded with a charity auction event held on Sunday 20th of November. It was a huge success. All paintings sold.The money raised from this event was 69250 RMB, so 49 children will be fitted of hearing aids. A special Thank you to Volvo for their generous donation.
Donation for an orphanage
On July, Change for Life gave 10 000 RMB to BICCO (Beijing International Committee for Chinese Orphans) for buying diapers and formula to the Shunyi Orphanage. This amount of money will last a month.
Snö of Sweden Jewellery release party
June 2nd, Change for Life held a jewellery release party in Beijing. Snö of Sweden, a Swedish company making beautiful fashion jewellery had kindly donated 50 sets of necklaces and matching bracelets to us. Change for Life quickly sold out and all the money raised will go to our charity work.
The party was very successful. Thanks to our sponsors, iF Juice, Jasmine Tea, Nokia, Chang and Bjork and last but not least Snö of Sweden as the main sponsor of this event.

Spring donations
At the end of March 2011 representatives of Change For Life went to the city of Xining, Qinghai and visited a training school for deaf and mute children.
During this visit 13 children (4 girls and 9 boys) got their hearing tested and individually fitted hearing aids. In total 24 hearing aids, since 2 of these children were only int he need of one hearing aid. They were all under the age of 7. Two of them only 2 years old. This school is running a training program for about three years, where the children are receiving vocal training, and other support. The goal is that all the students will continue in a "normal" school system in the future.
The hearing aids are supplied by GN Resound all 24 hearing aids were fully paid by SNO of Sweden.
XUNHUA SPECIAL SCHOOL donation to 50 000 RMB has been given to this school to help them to renovate the girl's domitory.
2010,
Charity Jazz Gig by Mr Nils Landgren and the Funk Unit
On October 19th 2010, Change for Life held a charity jazz gig with the world renowned musician Mr Nils Landgren and his band the Funk Unit. This event was done in cooperation with the Swedish Embassy and the Spring Bud Project. It was a very successful evening filled with great music. All the proceeds of this event went to Change For Life and the Spring Bud Project.
Change for Life would like to thank Nils Landgren and the Funk unit for their time and excellent performance, the Swedish Embassy and the Spring Bud Project for their help and teamwork during the organisation of this event, SWEA (Swedish Women's Educational Association), the Swedish Chamber of Commerce, and the main sponsor of this event Volvo for their generous donation who made this event all happen!
